Since 2016 the COE CSW has been working on an extremely significant project that paves the way ahead for a new dimension of conducting Training, Exercises, Evaluation and Experimentation by utilising Live-Virtual-Constructive – Training (LVC-T) technology for NATO. This technology connects real assets, reference systems, classroom trainers and simulated entities under one roof in a common synthetic training environment in order to complement maritime live exercises by strengthening combat skills.

At the end of April 2018 the COE CSW project manager of LVC-T initially presented the effort of the LVC-T project on the occasion of the 41^st Business Meeting of the NATO Modelling & Simulation Group (NMSG) in Segovia, Spain, to the M&S community. The result was that various members out of the NMSG are going to support this activity by building up a Specialist Team. This Specialist Team is going to define the future work concerning the implementation efforts of LVC-T to the maritime domain within NATO.

With this cooperation, the COE CSW is going to boost forward all efforts within the LVC-T project by the assistance of highly skilled specialists in the field of Modelling & Simulation. The COE CSW will chair the Specialist Team and will kick-off its work by mid of August this year.
