From 14 to 23 January 2020 the Maritime Operations Working Group (MAROPSWG) convened in Tirana, Albania with more than 150 maritime experts from 19 NATO nations as well as representatives from various NATO commands and entities. The COE CSW participated in this important annual meeting for maritime doctrine development for NATO with four Staff Officers by attending numerous syndicates and subpanels. The COE CSW contributed significantly with presentations, liaison reports, and by providing expertise to many discussions. Tangible results were achieved in improving numerous NATO maritime publications at the end of this very successful and productive meeting. The COE CSW will continue to contribute to NATO doctrine development and provide specific expertise in future MAROPSWG meetings.
