As the Department Head [DH] for the Maritime Operations [MarOps] Discipline, the NATO Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters [COE CSW] hosted and conducted the ADC under the guidance of Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation / Joint Force Trainer [HQ SACT JFT]. Representatives from HQ MARCOM, FRMARFOR, UKMARFOR, SPMARFOR, ITMARFOR, NRDC Greece, JWC, NMIOTC, the Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation and Spanish Navy attended the conference.
During the ADC the attendees reviewed NATOs MarOps training landscape and identified new Training Requirements in the areas of Cyber Defence in a maritime environment, MarOps Legal training, the development of training for the new Command and Control System TRITON and tactical training for Boarding Teams. The COE CSW in its role as the DH for MarOps Education and Training will now lead the process to develop training solutions for the identified training needs in coordination with NATO Schools and other Centres of Excellence.
