The Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters (COE CSW) is proud to announce the Countering Illicit Activities as Sea- A New Perspective for Navies Legal Workshop to be held in Willemstad, Curaçao, from the 05th to the 08th of May 2015.
The COE CSW, in cooperation with Royal Netherlands Navy, will be hosting an in depth look into the development, legal issues and lessons learned from counter-drug operations in the Caribbean and possible extension of the 2003 San José Treaty. During this new opportunity we will review Case Studies, gather legal thought, and provide recommendations to nations on best practices and procedures for countering illicit activities at sea.
The COE CSW continues its effort to enhance NATO Transformation and expand legal understanding and cooperation. Please join us in Curacao for this opportunity to increase awareness of the San José Treaty and of the operations in the Caribbean. With our efforts we will continue to work towards better preventative measures against illicit trafficking, such as; illicit drugs, WMD Proliferation, Human Trafficking, SUA offences, and Terrorism in all areas of the world.
