Under the lead of the NATO Capability Monitor for Countering Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IED), Headquarters Allied Command Transformation conducts an annual C-IED Conference in order to discuss important developments in as well as tasks for the NATO C-IED community.

The 11th Annual Conference took place from 21 to 23 JUN 16in the US Resort in Garmisch, DEU. Together with the C-IED COE, MilEng COE and EOD COE, the COE CSW – being one of the key stakeholders in maritime C-IED issues – gave a presentation on our COE and our role in C-IED matters.

The COE CSW furthermore acted on behalf of Headquarters Allied Maritime Command as formal representative of the CME-Community (C-IED in the Maritime Environment). In this function, recent CME developments were briefed, for instance the establishment of the new CME-Panel as subpanel of the NATO C-IED WG.

This event underlines once more the acceptance and deep involvement of our COE inside the NATO C-IED Community.
